Salt Lick Safari Lodge – Tsavo

Overview

For decades Salt Lick Safari Lodge has been one of Kenya’s flagship lodges, famed for being among the World’s Most Photographed Lodges. A favourite amongst travellers in search of luxury accommodation, Salt Lick Safari Lodge is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains.

Salt Lick Safari Lodge’s charm is evident from the outset. Here you will savour uncompromising high standards of service, efficiency and personalised attention.

The neighbouring Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa has a museum that displays some of the World War 1 memorabilia as part of the rich history of Taita Taveta County.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer from airport
Airport Transfer
Our guests are picked from the airport with comfortable Tour van to the hotel. Room check in.

Lunch the game drive to the eastern part of the sanctuary.
Day 2 - Full day game drive in the park
After breakfast, there is short briefing of the tour ahead.
Guests are picked in Tour Landcruiser for day long jungle safari in the western part of the lodge.
Return to hotel for night rest.
Day 3 - Hal day tour
Half day tour of the park
Return to the aiarport

What Activities are found in the park?
Joyventure Safaris Limited has got several activities and excursions lined up for our guests within this beautiful sanctuary.
They include, but not limited to:
Night game drive, Walking safari, Game viewing, Swimming, Visit to curio shops, sundowners, day out with ranger, among others. The choices are solely our guests'.
What should i carry?
What to carry depends on the time of visit. Mostly the lodge experiences long dry weather. So it is advisable to carry personal effects like hat/cap, sun glasses, water, umbrella, binoculars, etc
